I have been involved in various overseas projects, starting from Norway Undersea Tunnel Project, Taiwan Shinkansen (bullet train) project, Qatar National Master Plan Study, Delhi Metro India and Bangalore Metro Projects, Kiev Metro Projects Ukraine and many others, currently working for Jakarta Metro, Indonesia. Especially from 2007 I was involved in large-scale yen loan projects in India as an expert in charge of quality control of underground construction. In India, there are many problems that are unimaginable to happen in Japan. This is exactly why we can show our strength as consultants. Although it is important to complete the project by making full use of technology, it is also our task to convey the importance of not only the technology but also the maintenance and management. In addition, although India is rather acquisitive in learning new technology, many places are unconcerned about the safety management and environmental improvement. Japan is a world-class country for safety and environmental management; we are also responsible for the important task to continue to teach it. Furthermore, I was appointed to be the President of OC Global India’s office since October 1st, 2014. Isn’t it a rare opportunity for a woman to be the president in this field? In our company, even though there is no precedent, if a person is considered qualified, there is the chance to press forward. I have used this chance to let myself grow. In India, there are many large-scale projects of roads and energy-related such as railway. Indian Subsidiaries are planning to hire more than 100 local engineers for Dedicated Freight Corridor Project and I am in charge of leading this organization. Moreover, we shall also strive in getting new projects and exploring new fields. Here in India, difficulties and challenges are back-to-back. I am looking for fellow challengers whom are interested in this large market, India.Alka Dhillon

In 2002, Andeisha moved to Islamabad to continue her education at the university level. While studying in Islamabad, she began working with a local Afghan community, first as a teacher, and later as administrator and spokesperson of an Afghan school. In addition to providing children a safe and nurturing environment, Andeisha’s AFCECO instills important leadership values of tolerance and an appreciation for education in Afghanistan’s future generations. Mira Kulkarni graduated in Fine Arts from Stella Maris College, Chennai. With interests varying from painting in watercolours, journalism, organic plants and herbal culture, she has been exposed to the Ayurvedic way to life early in life having a home in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttaranchal which is the Ayurvedic hub in India. She used her knowledge of Ayurveda and natural products to source local herbs, oils and medicinal roots from the Tehri Garhwal region for many years which were then made in Ashrams according to ancient Ayurvedic formulations. She had realized a gap in the market for user-friendly Ayurvedic products as against the traditional Ayurvedic products available, which were too strongly scented and though effective, not very pleasant to use. Mrs. Kulkarni worked for many years with Vaids and modern Biochemists to produce a range of products, which while keeping the inherent properties of Ayurveda intact, are wonderfully scented and pleasurable to use. The products range from handmade soaps made with pure essential oils and natural spring water to sensual body oils which are not only delightful to use, but actually work to firm and tone the body, to many high performance facial care products based on traditional Ayurvedic recipes. In 2008, Forest Essentials formed a strategic alliance with Estee Lauder Companies where the latter acquired a minority stake in the brand Forest Essentials. This formed a relationship of great significance in the India beauty market, being the first Indian company to have interest from a global beauty conglomerate of that size and pedigree. As a successful entrepreneur and leader, Mrs. Kulkarni has been repeatedly honoured with prestigious awards and commendations including, Fortune India’s ‘Most powerful women in business’ for consecutive years since 2011 – 2016. 'Prior to joining the Foreign Service Programme (FSP) I was working for the Seychelles Government at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the International Relations Division, where I was responsible for both the bilateral and multilateral dossiers. I mostly covered African countries and such multilateral organisations as the African Union and the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO).''I was also responsible for processing all requests for candidatures - important positions in international organisations decided upon by member governments - whereby I prepared recommendations for our Ministers and President on how to respond to these requests. I will resume my duties there once I am done with the FSP.''I first learned of the Foreign Service Programme from my Minister who had himself heard about it from the British High Commissioner in Seychelles. After researching it I was deeply intrigued by its rich curriculum targeting imperative issues in the field I work in. And it is considered one of the most prestigious diplomatic practice courses on offer. I felt to participate in it would be a privilege. Despite having a first degree that covered many themes in International Relations, I felt I didn't have the practical skill set for working in International Relations, and the FSP offered me a pathway for acquiring these skills.'Suman Khanna Aggarwal
