Knight Muteti Langat at a very tender age, Knight had a vision to change the lives of the vulnerable girls around her hence, she specialized her first degree in Bachelor of Arts; Social Work in the University Of Nairobi. Following the death of her father that challenged her well-being and vision, Daughters Of Kenya was born as she states, “I questioned myself if life had totally changed without one parent, how would it be to the orphaned and vulnerable children?” After a period of three years of exploration and study, she established the Daughters Of Kenya whose Mission is to Save, Educate, Empower and Improve the lives of lives of the orphaned and vulnerable girls in Kenya. Daughters Of Kenya Mission focus on the Following Daughter Programmes: Education, Health, End Violence Against Children and Livelihood and Resilient. Knight has participated in leadership workshops, trainings and forums in Nigeria, South Africa and Italy and as part of her experience, she has worked at the Caucus for Women’s Leadership as a Project Officer and at the Centre for Multi – Party Democracy as a Gender Officer.Kitawa Wemo
A research consultant and senior business professional based in Nairobi , Kenya, WEMO is passionate about finding sustainable solutions to the gender disparity problem that faces many women in rural Kenya as a result of cultural misconceptions. She believes in the “Teach a Man to Fish” mantra to pioneer change through entrepreneurship. At MAMA Ventures, WEMO works with women and girls, from under privileged backgrounds who are victims of gender based violence. By leading through practical mentoring, she works with experienced curators to equip the beneficiaries with business and entrepreneurial skills. She also works with experienced psychologists to offer emotional support to the women and girls. Phionah Anguzuzu Musumba has many years of experience working with women and girls from disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering them with skills for enterprise development and educational opportunities since 2002. As the Founder and Executive Director at the Centre for Disadvantaged Girls and Malkia Foundation, Musumba ensures that any girl who drops out of school due to poverty gets a second chance to go back to school and also provides job skills training to young women dropouts who cannot return to school. As a CSP Fellow at YWCA Austin in Texas, Musumba focused on learning new approaches to working with women and girls on education, health, and employment programs. Now returned to Kenya, Musumba is working to start an all-girl STEM school alongside a vocational college to offer marketable courses for the youth in mass communication, computer studies, carpentry, tailoring, catering, and masonry among other skillsNjeri Kinara

Beatrice has over 10 years’ experience in various operational, administration and advocacy with key focus on women, youth, gender and rural development. She has worked in a number of industries including, Education and training, health and wellness and Non-governmental sector. She is also an advocate for many social causes like mentoring young girls, advocating for their rights and she is also the chair lady and board member of Timau High school in her home county.I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including information management, administration, operations, project management, and gender and development issues.My education background includes a M.A in Gender and Development Studies from the University of Nairobi, BSc in Information Sciences from Moi University and a Diploma in Management (Project Management) from the Kenya Institute of Management.Chebet Lesan
Chebet Lesan is an industrial designer by profession and an environmentalist by passion. She is the founder of BrightGreen Renewable Energy, a company that creates green fuel for African homes and industries using recycled agricultural and urban waste materials. Her product MOTO, is a fast growing brand gaining traction with the growing environmentally concsious community in Africa. She is also involved in community programs that sensitize local communities and industries on the importance of environmental preservation and promotion of eco-friendly activities. She is a mentor to youth and women in the STEM and Renewable Energy Sector.
