Dr. Priyanka Bajaj manages the Impact Lab portfolio at PATH. She supports and advises on technical, clinical, regulatory, and market access aspects of med-tech products to both, innovators & stakeholders that are key to adoption & scale of medical devices. She also supports various cross-disciplinary public health projects at PATH India and global country offices. Some notable examples being scaling up testing capacity for COVID-19 diagnosis in India, usability studies of a portable MRI machine for application in pediatric brain scans, developing Target Product Profile of Microarray Patches (MAPs) for administration of anti-rabies vaccine, market research for newborn screening and G6PD testing in private health sector, introducing innovations to strengthen comprehensive primary healthcare and MNCH continuum of care in India and similar LMICs. Among the other activities, Priyanka has been a key technical support member in designing digital health tool for menstrual health management guided by empathy interviews and qualitative research. She has also been a network member of the Menstrual Health Alliance India. Prior to PATH, Priyanka has worked as Principal Investigator under Science & Engineering Research Board grant of Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India). She has also led the development of rapid test for detection of UTI pathogens, a concerning infectious disease especially in women, for which she received the Discovery Awards 2016 as part of the wider Longitude Prize at the Royal Society London.
