Brief Profile
In a career spanning 25 years, with almost two decades in the field of hard-core Hotel Operations; today, Ritu is the Managing Partner of Prognosis Global Consulting, a full service Consulting, Asset Management and Advisory Services Company focused on Hospitality, Leisure and Food Services industry in the South Asia Region. She is one of the few senior women partners in India’s Hospitality Consulting landscape; and one with an ideal blend of hotel operations proficiency and high-yielding hospitality consulting expertise.
With a diverse range of practical hospitality experience in Hotel Operations, Ritu has made steady contributions in various capacities, in hotels of different sizes (88 rooms - 580 rooms) and with some of the largest and reputed Hotel brands (IHCL - Taj & Marriott International) in Leisure, Business and Luxury hotels across the country. Her last hotel operation’s role was as a pre-opening GM for the Marriott International in Pune.
In her more recent contribution, she is the National Vice-President for WICCI (Women’s Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) – Hospitality & Tourism where she is involved in enhancing the presence and role of women in the Indian Hospitality & Tourism landscape, with the aim of giving back to her industry and society at large.
On a personal level, Ritu is also an upcoming artist and has organised and participated in many recognized Art shows in Bangalore. Ritu has been part of the Organizing Committee for ‘Oorja – A redefining expression’ – Art for a Cause - a show curated by the award-winning M G Doddamani, her mentor and guide. Partial proceeds from the ‘Oorja’ show are shared with different causes and burning issues that plague the society. ‘Oorja’ is now an exhibition to reckon with in the art circles of the city of Bangalore, India.
She always had a bent of mind for art, culture, home interiors and all things creative that has honed her flair for painting. Ritu says “Even though I am a Hotelier by profession, I’ll always be an art fanatic at heart, first. My style is evolving every day, but I enjoy abstract and bold representation of simple things in life. For me my paintings are a reminder of celebrating the ordinary, a time to stop and smell the roses.”
