Yehia Bahei-El-Din

Prof. Bahei‐El‐Din is currently the Vice President for Research and Postgraduate Studies at the British University in Egypt. He also served earlier as Dean of Engineering and founded the Centre for Advanced Materials. Prof. Bahei-El-Din received his undergraduate education at Cairo University in Egypt and the PhD degree from Duke University in the US. Before joining BUE he was a Professor at Cairo University, Duke University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, North Carolina State University and the University of Utah. Prof. Bahei‐El‐Din is renowned for his work in composite materials and structures including industrial applications, which earned him recognitions and awards from the President of Egypt, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt, and NASA and the National Academy of Sciences in the USA. Prof. Bahei-El-Din has focused in the past five years on developing the innovation cycle at BUE, leading to the creation of a Science and Innovation Park and energizing the entrepreneurship environment.
