Women in conflict zones: overcoming vulnerability and violence

There are migrations in almost every corner of the world with majority of these being women and girls. Some of these are forced to migrate because of conflict situations of war back home, while others are trafficked. Some simply give themselves to be sold as sex slaves while others are part of the different economic and religious rackets. The living situations in these places are different including being fatal. Most countries in conflict have major reservoirs of natural resources. Embassies sometimes are less supportive because of the fear to jeopardize the country based diplomatic and economic interests at play. There is also a group of those benefiting economically from these conflict impasses and these range from the ordinary persons to those in positions of institutional power. A lot can be done to change this status quo.
