Wendel Hofman-Schulp

Wendel is an experienced brand manager, responsible for development and governance of the Aegon international brand portfolio. As an international investment, pensions and insurance company, Aegon helps people achieve a lifetime of financial security. Believing in ‘brand first’, Wendel embeds this in every step she takes. Her motto is acta non verba or ‘act rather than speak’. This reflects her passionate drive to deliver change. Wendel is a strong advocate of equality and diversity. In 2018, she received the FNV Karin Adelmund Award for establishing an equal pay agreement in Aegon’s Collective Labour Agreement, the first company in The Netherlands to do so. She joined the Nederlandse Vrouwen Raad as a board member in July 2020, managing strategy and communication.Wendel lives in Amsterdam. She enjoys running and loves reading fictional family sagas. She is an advisor at her eldest son’s carpet design company Wenem, that makes bespoke carpets in Bhadohi, India.
