Vivek Gupta

Vivek Gupta was nominated in May 2012 to Rajya Sabha by Smt. Mamata Banerjee, He has served as a member of Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affair & Public Distribution in 2012, presently on Industry. He is currently serving as a Member of COPLOT, Official Language Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Hindi Salahkar Samiti for the following Ministries-Defence Ministry, External Affairs Ministry, Home Affairs Ministry and Human Resource Development Ministry. He is a member from Rajya Sabha to represent in the Indian Institutes for Science Education and Research (IISER) Council and also member of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction. He has presented Private Members bills in Parliament on various subjects. He is currently an Executive Member of the Constitution Club of India and also on the Editorial Board of Central Hall Magazine. He is a Treasurer of The Global Legislators Organization (Globe India)
