Veena brings a unique experience of managing early-stage ventures and start-up that addresses problems of Semi-urban and rural India. She has 10+ years of experience leading ventures in the rural and the Bottom of the Pyramid space. Veena has been actively involved in the Startup ecosystem since 2010, developing innovative business models to commercialize grassroots technologies, foster rural entrepreneurship. She has worked extensively in the tier-2 tier-3 cities of Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Punjab. Her core competencies are in the space of Women entrepreneurship, Startup investment, and Creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Semi-urban and rural parts of India. So far she helped 6 women-led startups in raising funds of 8+ Crore.
Experienced in institutionalizing Stakeholder relations, Public relations, Corporate communications, Risk assessment, Corporate Affairs, Government Affairs, Consumer Affairs, Crisis Management, Business Continuity Process and Corporate Governance practices, CSR, sustainability and corporate governance practices within the company. Combine keen business acumen with strategic thinking to devise and implement large scale solutions and robust processes to monitor and control the outcome.
Currently she is working as CEO at KL Technology Incubators Foundation that aims to nurture Innovation and Entrepreneurship culture in Semi-urban and Rural India and provides access to world-class labs, modern equipment, huge mentor & industry network, funding opportunities and state of the art operating facilities. The vision is to emerge as a ‘National Centre for Entrepreneurship’ in India, creating world class start-ups by providing them a conducive environment to grow and vision to scale their ventures. She is also a Co-founder at Hifi Digital Access Private Limited which is helping organisations in branding, marketing and help organisation to get the digital existence of their organisation for better reach.
