Vassia Sarantopoulou is a highly responsible person with a strong sense of fairness. She love theories, concepts, patterns. People come to her when they want someone to explain why things are playing out the way they are. She love bringing order to things. Her strength is the structure she bring to others. The foundation, the grid, the framework within which to create.
Vassia Sarantopoulou studies are in the Psychology field. She completed a Master course in Counseling and Career Guidance and a 2nd Master course in Child and Adolescent Psychology.
She attended numerous of workshops, namely “Introduction in Playtherapy”, “Team Management”, “Training on DSM-IV”, etc. During her studying courses, she completed some long-term tasks on Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Learning Disabilities & Remedial Teaching.
Vassia Sarantopoulou main approach is CBT – Cognitive Behavior Therapy in combination with Mindfulness.
The focus of this approach is to bring the balance in her clients between their mind and their emotions; between their thinking and their feeling. She has worked as a psychologist/councelor since 2009, organizing groups but also working with clients in personal sessions. The main and most common issues she has tried to deal together with her clients have been: anxiety, depression, time management, family issues (divorce, adolescence, parenting, conflicts, infertility), panic attacks, selfdevelopment.
Vassia Sarantopoulou has organised seminars and workshops about psychology for counselors and psychologists, but also for individuals. Since 2005, she also has been working as a career counselor, assisting people with building their career profile and pursuing their dream job.
