Vandana Suri

Vandana Suri, single mom, and “woman cabbie” as she proudly calls herself, is the founder of Taxshe, a woman cab organisation in Bangalore and Delhi NCR, India. Taxshe aims at bringing down rate of child sexual abuse and violence against women, while on travel, with a very simple solution of having women drive women and kids. They train women from the marginalised communities over months in professional driving, self defence and grooming, and these women in turn drive a whole lot of kids to schools and tutorials, office going women and late night airport drives. A win win for the society at large.
