Vanaja Kankarla

I am an international student, born and raised in India. I did most of my education in India and always aspired to go abroad for higher studies. Though at a later part of my career, but my dreams came true when I got an opportunity to do my Master’s in agricultural sciences in the United States. The earlier part of my career involved engaging with the rural farming community in India, especially women farmers. The work with farmers and non-profits strengthened my amateur thoughts to take a concrete shape and I decided to continue my higher studies in States. I treasure the choices I made and would never miss any occasion to contribute, in my own way to the sector I am committed to. I strongly believe that at some point of my life, I will be able to associate and give back to my home country.
