It was the combination of totally transforming her health plus her long-held passion concerning ethical consumerism and ecology that lead Theresa to create Kitchen Buddy in 2005; an organisation to supply vegan catering, cookery courses and consultancy to the public & within the food industry.
In addition to studying Naturopathic Medicine as a Nutritionist, she has trained in an Introduction to Permaculture, organic gardening, Yoga for Children & herbal medicine. She is also a wild food forager & seasonal eating blogger & tour-guide.
Theresa has regularly featured on BBC Radio London, for discussions on Ecological & Naturopathic Nutrition, plus interviews for local and popular media; Time Out, Glamour magazine, Ecologist online and appeared on SKY TV with her raw chocolate. Her customers include fellow environmentalist & UN Lawyer, Polly Higgins, (author of ‘Eradicating Ecocide’).
As an eco-activist and practitioner, she writes for the health food industry inc. Funky Raw magazine And Features in the German Raw Food Chef Guide. Her first book on her nutrition experience is due out in 2017.
Theresa’s involvement with sustainable projects includes: Festival of Life (10 yrs), London Permaculture Festival (2 yrs) and in June 2015, she took part in the first sustainability response at the Glastonbury Music & Arts Festival, a collaboration with a team of Young Greens (party members) in maintaining a permaculture practice on the land; significantly reducing land clearance costs across the festival. She is currently the Chairwoman of her local Community gardening & heritage association; to increase conservation & biodiversity in their area of South London.
