The impact of national culture on the progression of women in the workplace
It has been identified in studies all over the world that women are still faced with impediments on their way to the top of the organisational ladder. The so-called glass ceiling is still very well preserved. We cannot help to wonder what is the reason for this perseverance. It a recent study within Cypriot accountants and academics the main impediments for the non-progression of women have been identified and their connection to national culture has been analysed. A presentation of the results of this specific research will be discussed within the scope of this section.
