Tara Chettur Menon is an intrepid journalist who has turned a spotlight on various issues such as environment, violence against women , child right issues , tribal forest dwellers land rights , human trafficking , gender violence in her native India .She has traveled across the country covering issues related with river pollution, women rights and discrimination against tribals etc.
She started her career with Star news Mumbai in200 4 thereafter worked with various national media organizations and after returning to India in 2012 she joined ‘The Hitavada’ . ‘The Hitavada’ is the largest selling English broadsheet daily of Central India . She has been recipient of Laadli Media National Award for her reportage on tribals and International Maja Koene Social Justice award, Gandhian Yuva Patrakar Peace Award for her persistent work on issues of marginalized sector .She has also won fellowship of Centre for Science and Environment for her reporting on environment . She has been felicitated by Rotary Club , Lion club , Child line etc
