Ms. Tanya Chaitanya serves as an Editor and Chief Community Officer at Femina, Worldwide Media Private Limited since 2007. As an editor, Tanya Chaitanya has given India’s largest selling women’s magazine and online brand—Femina—a contemporary, fresh and modern feel. She has taken the brand’s footprints ahead in the space of digital reach and 360 growth.
Under her leadership, Femina’s online reach is at 67 million page views per month (femina.in website) and 4 million (social media).
The print version of the brand reaches 2 million plus readers in the English space.
Tanya has been instrumental in brand expansion regionally with three successful spin-offs: Femina Hindi, Femina Tamil and Femina Bangla, both in print and online. Under her editorship, Femina expanded its magazine portfolio and successfully launched Femina Salon & Spa, a B2B and B2C brand catering to salon professionals.
An alumnus of IIM-Calcutta, Tanya started her career in year 2000 as a producer of BBC Worldwide Media and soon moved to Bombay Times as Chief Copy Editor in year 2003. After a 3-year stint at Bombay times, she joined India Today Group as the associate editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2006.
Having done her journalism training with BBC, she has a strong news background which helps her add that extra edge even across lifestyle writing. With a passion for writing, this young achiever believes she has miles to go before she can rest.
