Tanya Abraham is a writer, author, art curator, and educator.She started her career as a journalist 15 years ago, working for Indian and International publications. Her passion and love for heritage, arts, and culture drew her to write on these topics. She is the author of a book titled “Fort Kochi, History and Untold Stories”, publishes in association with the government of Kerala, India. She is currently in the throes of publishing her second book on food that emerged from ancient cross- cultural trade in Kerala. Tanya is the creative director of Kashi Art Gallery in Kochi, Kerala where she works with artists from across the globe. She is also the founder of The Art Outreach Society (TAOS), an NGO that works with children and marginalised Women for innovative thinking/ emotional healing, through art. Tanya has a post graduation degree in Journalism, a masters in Arts Administration, and is currently looking forward to starting her work in a PhD in Psychology and Creative Studies.
