Susan O’Brien

Susan O’Brien is an award-winning entrepreneur and global business development leader. She is founder and CEO of Smigin – a mobile app with a focus on real life conversational skills, with users in 175 countries. Prior to founding Smigin Susan held executive positions in both public and private companies in the US and Europe. With 20 years of executive sales, marketing and business development experience in over 30 countries, she has an innate knowledge of global sales strategies.

Her career has spanned technology and international business with a track record of leveraging digital platforms and digital media to significantly elevate brands and drive revenues. Her work has been recognized such that she is now a contributing writer to Forbes on the subject of entrepreneurship, women in technology and female empowerment and prior to that was a contributing writer to The Huffington Post. She is a board member of IIBN New York (Irish International Business Network) and was its first female co-chair. She is co-founder of LEAP (Leadership & Executive Acceleration Program for young women) and is an international speaker on the subject of entrepreneurship and international business having spoken at events including NASDAQ, Inspirefest and Ellevate. Susan is a graduate of University College Cork and speaks six languages. She divides her time between Silicon Valley and Ireland.
