SUREKHA PODDAR is a management professional with over two and a half decades of experience in marketing, market research, consumer insights and profit centre management. In her last assignment she held the position of Managing Director, Mumbai Millward Brown South Asia, a global brand and communication research company. Over the years, besides Millward Brown she has been associated with organizations like Nielsen, Bharti Airtel, IMRB, AIMS, Cyanamid (now Pfizer) and ORG.
Surekha’s passion for executive development and her rich corporate experience propelled her to become a certified Executive Coach. Today, she has successfully helped several senior executives from varied industries to develop and harness their potential.
In her last assignment with Millward Brown, she was awarded the Role Model award for ‘Recognized Leadership’ for launching the first ever BrandZ – ‘Most Valuable Brand Rankings’ in India.
As a Consumer Insights specialist, she had the privilege of working across diverse industries like pharmaceuticals, consumer products, durables, telecom, hospitality, automotive, media and manufacturing. She has also presented several papers at Industry forums.
Surekha has also completed her “Certified Corporate Director” course from IOD.
She is a Pharmacy Graduate and has done her Masters in Management Studies from Bombay University.
