Suparna Sarkar

Suparna Sarkar was born into a traditional Bengali family, where my father was a professor of physics. She was the first girl in my extended family who decided to step out and embark on a career. From my teenage years she was driven by a passion to be different to the point of being regarded as a rebel. Much to the astonishment of her family she chose to pursue a professional qualification. After the her graduation she opted for a career in the hospitality Industry which in those days was not a favoured career choice for a lady but she decided to forge ahead and joined the Oberoi Group of Hotels and then moved on to the Taj luxury chain.
During my 13 year tenor with the Taj , She handled properties in India and abroad.
For the last 14 years she has been associated with the Vedic Village Spa Resort and she is currently the General Manager of this 150 acre lush green property.
