Prof. Sudhir K Sinha, a disciple of Mahatma Gandhi, is a crusader of CSR Satyagraha, a CSR reform agenda. As Professor he is teaching Responsible Business Management & Corporate Philanthropy (CSR) and Rural Development at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). He is the Founder Director of ‘Centre for Sustainability and Responsibility Inc Pvt. Ltd.’ (CSR Inc). He is also a Founder Member of the Human Rights and Business Resource Group (HRBRG). Sudhir, a LEAD Fellow, has over 35 years of rich experience of working for companies and NGOs on CSR/Sustainability projects. He headed and managed CSR/Sustainability verticals of leading Indian & MNC brands such as Tata Steel, Cipla Ltd, Reliance – Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, Moser Baer India Limited, and ArcelorMittal. He was Advisor – CSR with PwC. He also sits on the Boards of some leading NGOs and corporate Foundations; has given advisory services to more than 25 companies, 20 NGOs and the Govt institutions such as Gujarat CSR Authority (GCSRA), etc. Sudhir, in the past represented India and participated in the formulation of ISO 26000. He was part of the Experts’ Group on Development of National Voluntary Guidelines on Social, Economic and Environmental Responsibility of Businesses in India. Sudhir has introduced a working concept of ”Transformational CSR” over Transactional Philanthropy and been engaged in promoting and advancing the agenda of Transformational CSR. Also, he has presented a social theory of “Underlying Impacts”, a critical indicator for CSR and development projects.
