Co-director, Mindful Guatemala
Stephanie is a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Trainer, Neuroscientist, Hatha Yoga and Thai Massage Instructor. Her background in neuroscience and her passion to understand how the mind works has led her to dwell deeply into the mindfulness and meditation practice, gaining a deeper insight of the brain-mind relationship and its implications on mental health.
After studying and working in 5 different countries in the past 10 years, Stephanie is currently back to Guatemala, her home country, where she co-founded Mindful Guatemala Foundation. Mindful Guatemala Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to spreading the insight of the teachings of mindfulness to kids and teenagers in schools, inspiring the next generation to live a more harmonious, peaceful and compassionate life to themselves and to each other.
Stephanie finds daily inspiration in following her tangible dream of creating a sustainable peaceful world by cultivation of inner peace. As the Dalai Lama once said:’If we teach every 8-year-old how to meditate, we will eradicate violence in only one generation.’
