Sonia Pais

Sónia Pais was born in Tomar in 1970 and her education has been mostly geared towards tourism, having worked as a teacher at the Tomar and Leiria Politechnic Institutes.
She also worked as an events organizer having created a company called Preludio back in 2006, together with a friend of hers.
She was a school director in Santarém for 4 years, through the Portuguese Tourism Schools network and 5 years ago she decided to start her own business in the town where she was born, in partnership with her brother.
Founding 2300 Thomar Hostel has come as a means to fulfill a need in her town, where there was previously no Hostel and also to apply all of the know-how and skills she had gained throughout the years.
