Sonal Misal

Ms. Sonal Arvind Misal (maiden name Sonal Dayanand Waghmare) is the founding member and Chairperson of International Institute of Management & Leadership. At SEPL, she is involved in giving the strategic leadership direction to the organization. With almost 10 years plus experience in the industry and academic world, she is Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) graduate specialized in Electronics and Telecommunication from K.C. College of Engineering & Management, Thane. Starting her career as a Research & Development Engineer with Adtron Technologies Pvt. Ltd, through sheer performance she went on to become Project Manager in the organization and finally promoted as Assistant Marketing and Sales Manager in the organization within 18 months of tenure with the organization. Having made a shift from a technical background to managerial background, she took on the bigger roles in the management domain. Thereafter she has worked as Assistant Manager- Marketing and Sales in Kencraft India Pvt. Ltd taking care of not only sales and marketing but also Human resources function a well. In fact she went on to do her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources from Prin. LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Matunga. After having substantial experience in industry both in technical and managerial roles, the burning desire to guide the aspiring management students towards launching their corporate careers led her to enter the academia first as Assistant Professor and later as Head of the Management Education in management colleges in Mumbai. During her role in academia, she was instrumental in utilizing her corporate experience to benefit the management students.She is an effective leader, good listener, self motivated & negotiator with talent for handling problem accounts, and promoting new business with hands-on experience in B2B sales, institutional sales, recruitment, and managing, training, developing and supporting teams for driving organizational growth and profitability. She has mentored many young minds to take care of personal leadership followed with professional leadership. At Skillous, she is instrumental in conducting coaching and mentoring sessions through our corporate training and consulting division.
