Snehlata Shukla is an intersectional feminist professional. She has been working in the development sector for past 15 years in India. Snehlata’s involvement with the development sector has primarily been in the field of promoting women’s economic and social rights. Snehlata’s domain expertise include women and work and violence against women, in particular connection between women’s livelihood generation and violence against women, be it domestic or public place violence. She has a rich experience in training facilitation around Gender and Gender based violence. She has a good understanding of Urban issues, Gender, and broader experience on issues related to” Jal, Jungle and Jameen ” (Water, Forest & Land). She is active member of Delhi Solidarity Group (a Group of individuals and organizations to support during National and state level advocacy and inter-action with Government Departments /Officials) She writes on Gender-related issues. She was awarded by the Office of the District magistrate –South and Ministry of women & child Development Govt. of India, Government of NCT of Delhi for her work towards women empowerment. Snehlata contributed in a workshop as subject matter specialist for Transgender persons (protection of rights) Bill 2016, organized by Parliamentarian standing committee in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
