Smt. Anandiben Patel honors Women Achievers of Gujarat -ALL Ladies League

March 8, 2014; Ahmedabad: ALL LADIES LEAGUE believes in seamlessly connecting women across diverse socio-economic strata and celebrates success stories across the rural-urban spectrum. With Grass-root Women of the Decade Awards, ALL identified and honored women entrepreneurs and achievers at grassroots across domains. At the first Grass-root Gujarat Women of the Decade Achievers Awards, held on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, ALL celebrated achievers such as Smt. Dayaben Dohat, a National Award Winner for Soof Embroidery; Jyotsnaben Parmar, Director, Rudra Women Empowerment Centre; Meeraben Goradia, Director, Kutchchh Heritage, Arts and Craft, Music, Information and Resources; Neetaben Jadav, a social worker; Parulben Parmer, winner of prestigious Arjuna Award 2009 and World Champion in Para Badminton Competition 2013; Smt. Shilpaben Vaishnav, who works for tribal upliftment; Snehalben Thaker, who works for poverty alleviation; and Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’be Minister of Revenue, Famine Relief, Land Reforms, Reconstruction, Road Building, Capital Project, Rehabilitation and Urban, Development and Urban Housing.

Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Revenue and Urban Development, Government of Gujarat, “It is very common, we recognize or award such personalities who are already famous in their streams but I wished that we need to recognize talent from each and every corner of the world whether it is from a small town or district from Gujarat. The ladies or awardees present here they themselves are universities.” Dr. Harbeen Arora, Global Chairperson, ALL in her welcome address said, “It is really a pride to identify the talent and give them recognition across the globe.”

The Award function which marked the celebration of International Women’s Day paid respect to eminent and distinguished women of Gujarat, who have contributed immensely in their fields. At the function, fifteen outstanding women achievers of Gujarat were conferred with the Gujarat Women of the Decade Achievers Award for achieving excellence in their respective fields.
