Shreyasi Singh has spent more than a decade in broadcast and print media. Over the last few years, she has written extensively on entrepreneurship and new business builders, including as editor of Inc. India, the Indian edition of the iconic American magazine on entrepreneurship, Inc.
Her first book, The Wealth Wallahs, on India’s new wealthy and a new breed of wealth managers was published by Bloomsbury (India) in October 2016. Shreyasi also writes a column called Surviving Start-Ups in the business daily, Mint.
Apart from entrepreneurship, she is passionate about professional women’s issues and higher education. Till recently, she led Careers and Programme Development at the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women, a unique women’s only management programme, based in New Delhi. She has also co-founded The Foundation for Working Women, a not-for-profit that works in the areas of infrastrucutre, public policy and awareness for working women in India.
Her stint at Vedica gave her an immersive, tangible experience of how higher education can transform lives and aspirations. She is inspired to do this at scale now, using digital technology and digital economy as powerful enablers. She is putting in place the foundations of this ambitious venture.
