Managing Director, Just Governance for Human Security
Working to promote peace, prevent conflicts, build trust and encourage intercultural an conflict dialogue, Shontaye is the Managing Director and Chair of the Executive Committee for the Caux Forum on Just Governance for Human Security, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The five day Forum attracts over two hundred individuals, from over 50 countries, to address concerns of the Six Pillars of Human Security as they relate to the global climate. Shontaye is a member of several civic organizations in Chicago, her base, including Chicago Council on Global Affairs, UNA-USA, and International Women Associates where she served as a board member as well as several committees. Shontaye was featured as ‘Living Book’ as part of the Human Library held at the United Nations-Geneva for Geneva Peaceweek 2017. Her discussion centered on her passion and purpose as a bridge-builder that has led to leading an international team of ten for a forum that covens individuals from over 50 countries, including heads of state, diplomats and civil society.
