Volunteer

Israel

I am a social volunteer in a very special high school, which also provides a dormitory for children at risk, teaching “Bolean Algebra and Logic Circuits”. Most of the children belong to families who have immigrated to Israel, and often suffer from low income and hard living conditions. I am also involved in a nation-wide Israeli project entitled “Young Entrepreneurs”. I instruct children in middle schools, as they practice entrepreneurship by simulating the initiation of a firm for developing their vision, from an idea to a final product. My community volunteering comes after many years in the technological world. I studied in the Technion, MSc and BSc in Electrical Engineering and another BSc in Physics Education. In addition, I was a visiting researcher in UCSB for 2 years, developing new laser and conducting fiber optical laser communication R&D. I worked in the Israeli Hi-Tech for the past 35 years including the Israeli MOD, Intel, Huawei and Mellanox. I was the founder of a Start-Up company entitled Densbits where the world’s first Memory Modem was designed.
Being currently involved in community volunteering is a great experience. It is important for me to bring some of my vast experience to the Israeli children. I feel excited to work with them, and in particular getting their worm gratitude and appreciation when they overcome any difficulty or succeed to solve a problem towards accomplishing their dreams.
