• Sheilza Bhatia is a social worker and a politician who contested Vidhan Sabha elections from the Gurgaon Constituency in 2019.
• She was the only female candidate in the entire district. Prior to that she has an experience of handling 4 elections at Lok Sabha & Vidhan Sibha with Aam Aadmi Party.
• She is also the Managing Trustee of Janm Foundation, NGO which works on empowerment of women & the community in some of the most backward regions of Haryana including Mewat.
• Keen on bringing reforms across sectors Sheilza is working on a lot of social welfare programs in the areas of Child Education, Women empowerment, climate and environment, livelihood programs leading to sustainable development.
• Currently , she is Sec General of Women Wing , in Haryana State for JJP. She is also party’s official spokesperson.
• Sheilza is on the board of directors of Haryana States roads & Bridges Department and currently working towards bringing on some reforms in the organisation.
• Currently she is also a part of panel with a prestigious school in Delhi which mentors candidates who clears UPSC mains and are eligible for final interviews for the country’s most prestigious service, IAS, IFS, IPS..
• Sheilza has in past won second position in Elevators Pitch’s for her Business idea which was organised by a well very known group in Gurgaon .
• A well spoken with a warm and pleasing personality Sheilza’s vision is to bring more women into active politics for which she is supporting Women’s reservation bill which is being tabled in the Parliament and for that she is supporting and a part of few organisations like UN, Stree Shakti and Indian School of Democracy.
