Dr. Sharon G. Mijares

Sharon G. Mijares, Ph.D. is a Psychologist and Author, Associate Faculty at National University, Core Faculty at the California Institute for Human Science and Adjunct Faculty at Brandman University. She is the author/editor of six books, focusing on women’s advancement as well as psychological and spiritual development. The sixth book, A Force Such As the World Has Never Known: Women Creating Change, brought women together from many nations to share their ideas and endeavors. Her work is especially focused on balancing power and beauty in order to create deep and lasting transformation. She has earned Shodan rank in Aikido, and has led workshops to empower women in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Mexico, Scotland, Uganda, United States and Venezuela. She was one of the keynote presenters at “Women Gathering For Change: Envisioning Ways to Create a Healthier Future” sponsored by the Library of Alexandria and the Human Foundation (March 2016, Alexandria, Egypt). On a personal level she is a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and currently lives in Nevada City, CA.
