Sharita Millat was born in 1971. She obtained her graduation and master’s degrees in Economics from Florida International University Miami, Florida USA. In personal life she is married and she is the mother of two children. Her husband Prof. Dr. Md. Habib Millat FRCS (Edin), is a renowned Physician and Surgeon as well as MP of the Ministry of Parliament in Bangladesh.

She is a prominent businesswoman in Dhaka Bangladesh running business with a particular emphasis on quality productions. Sharita started her business carrier as a General Manager in Sonali Inc. Miami, Florida, USA. Sharita Millat embarked on her entrepreneurial carrier in 2003 by starting her own award winning culinary institutes in Ireland which she successfully managed and ran, gaining her experience and acclaim as an innovative business women. She has experience in finance, marketing and economics.

She is also dealing with other business like running operations of an award winning up market Indian Restaurant ensuring quality service and ensuring profitability and growth as the Managing Director of Saffron Fine Indian Cuisine as well as Director of Sonali Incorporated responsibility which includes daily operations of all retail shops, inventory checks and ordering, Customer relations employee pay rolls. She also visited and participates in many trade fairs and business meeting locally and internationally. She also received many awards and recognitions from around the Globe.
She is one of the distinguished Director the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry(FBCCI) as well as Director of Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Bangladesh is a fairly conservative country when it comes to women’s empowerment; despite such limitations, my desire to bring some change never weakened. I started my business carrier in the year 2009 on my own with the financial support from my award winning culinary institutes in Ireland which successful made me gain experience to acclaim myself as an innovative business women. My projects are mostly managed and run by the underprivileged women. I have mentored these women from day one and since then these extra-ordinary women have become my partners in dreaming with me—each engrossed in the betterment of the business. Time has proven that my dream has become a success story. It has also proven that sincerity and hard work when paired with an inspiration such as mine, can build a powerhouse of endless possibilities.
As a visionary women being ambitious and persistent, tackling major social issues and offering new ideas for wide-scale change. Leaving societal needs to the government in business sectors find and solve the problem by changing system spreading the solution and persuading entire societies to take new leaps for leadership and women empowerment.
As a successful entrepreneur change the face of business, social entrepreneurs act, for seizing opportunities and improving systems, inventing new approaches, and creating solutions to change society for better business that may create entirely new industries, with new solutions to social problems and then implement them on a large scale.
Winning the award of Women Economic Forum will give me an opportunity to showcase my expertise amongst my contemporaries and thus further encourage other women to follow in my example. I think the key factor for me has been confidence. As a female business owner it can be a challenging and daunting task to get others to listen to you, value your business ideas and respect your contributions. Winning this award alongside so many other inspirational business owners, would give a sense of pride and achievement not just for myself but for my whole team and everyone who comes to Veritas Pharmaceuticals. It makes me realize how special the thing that I had created really is and how that inspired me to push the boundaries and do all I can to grow and keep working on my vision.

I will consider my self as a role model in mentoring the less privilege women in my company. As I do give all active support and cooperation to the grass root women folks of my country to be self reliant to built up their carrier with their own confident. I do believe in mentoring women whose needs are most wanted for the guidelines of leadership and women empowerment. All types of facilities are provided to these women’s in my company for their better future in being self dependent. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust. You can have a negative attitude or a positive one. With an optimistic, spirited, altruistic attitude as your compass, you have all the tools and resources you need. Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference – it is the key.
To fulfill her success and mission in business carrier she has a plan to expand her business arena country wide as well as abroad. Within 2020 she has an ambition to establish more Pharmaceutical Industry and corporate offices in the country and expand her industry to create job opportunity for all the women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. This could emphasis to improve her business to the minimum extend of 50% which will support to improve our socio-economic condition
