a restorative and regenerative future. Shamini Dhana brings to the fashion industry over 25 years of experience in international strategy, global operations, venture capital, business
development, and executive leadership in Corporate America. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Shamini spent seven years in Silicon Valley as Senior Vice President of SVB Global Financial Services where she overseed and managed SVB’s India operations, venture capital investments and managed the bank’s team in Bangalore. Additionally, Shamini Dhana was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships in the venture capital community and technology clients in India and Silicon Valley. A true citizen of the world, Shamini was raised in Singapore and has family
scattered across several continents. Her accomplishments include organizing the first ever follow-up nonprofit conference to the 1992 RIO Earth Summit as President of UNA-Sacramento; managing the State of California’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Asia Pacific Program – including organizing the Governor’s Asia Mission, opening a Singapore satellite office for trade and investment, organizing the first landmark mission of 25 VCs to India led by SVB to explore, meet and invest in an emerging tech region. This resulted in the launch and establishment of many US VCs investing in technology companies and setting up cross-border funds.
