S. Ayesha Akhtar Jahan is a successful woman entrepreneur in the RMG sector in Bangladesh. She is one of the founder member of Renaissance Group, which is a conglomerate of diverse business activities with major concentration in readymade garments manufacturing. The group employs a staggering 25,000 people to run its operations. Ayesha Akhtar Jahan is also involved with a large number of volunteer/charitable organizations located throughout Bangladesh. She runs a free school, a community clinic, and a shelter house for the orphan and underprivileged girls. She is the Director of Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce &
Industry (CWCCI), General Body Member of FBCCI, and Executive Committee Member of SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneurs Council.
Ms. Shahnewaz Ayesha Akhtar Jahan was born in 1973. She has done her Bachelor & Masters degree in Islamic History, then completed her MBA from North South University Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ms. Ayesha also completed Management Development Program (MDP) Course on “Supply Chain Management” from IBA, Dhaka University and CAPSTONE Course from the National Defence College (NDC) under Bangladesh Army. She is now studying her PhD in SEGi University in Malaysia.
In personal life she is married and is mother of 3(Three) children. Her husband Md. Shahriar Alam is a renowned businessman and the Honourable State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Govt. of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.
Ms. Ayesha started her career in garments business in 1999.She is sincere, active, enthusiastic, financially well established and a potential entrepreneur. In 18 years of business career , she has established a number of enterprises in Bangladesh. Ms. Ayesha Akhtar Jahan is involved with a large number of volunteer/charitable organizations located throughout Bangladesh. She is also running a free school, a community clinic & a shelter house for the orphan & underprivileged girls (which is providing shelter, education and all the possible facilities for a better life of these girls.)
Ms. Ayesha Akhtar Jahan faced all religious and social obstacles with her active intelligences which she has proved by her moral dignity and confidence that has no alternate in the work between male and female. She is the Director of Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CWCCI).
Ms. Ayesha is a General Body Member of FBCCI, which is the highest trade body of Bangladesh. She has visited and participated many seminars and conference trade fairs and business meeting locally and internationally. She received UWIC Award, BIZZ Award 2015, World Confederation of Business, Spain International Quality Award 2015 and The International Arch of Europe (IAE), Frankfurt, Germany, WASME Award, Delhi (India), IWEC -2016 in Brussels, Belgium, & Indonesia.
