Prof. Shaheena (Sarosh) Khan is Professor for Communication and Broadcast Journalism teaching at The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, Sayajirao University, Baroda, Amity University, Manav Rachna University and some other reputed media teaching organizations of the country.

She started teaching Communication Skills at The Oxford College for Further Education, Oxford, United Kingdom (1984-1985).

She holds a long and rich experience of Broadcasting in India and abroad spanning over more than 40 years. She has also been writing poetry and prose with equal ease in English and Hindustani for more than 4 decades.

She has travelled extensively (19 countries). She has rich experience in Radio Broadcast, including broadcasts from: British Broadcasting Corporation, Oxford, UK, Voice of America, Washington DC, USA, Radio Canada, Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Recently she was also, involved with an International Scottish Cultural Project, Scottish Diaspora, Scotland, United Kingdom.

In December 2017 and 2018 she delivered a couple of Lecturers at Harvard Radio WHRB 95.3 FM and also interacted with Radio presenters/students at Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA.

Her articles, essays, short stories, poems etc. are regularly published in periodicals like: The Asian Age, The Pioneer, The Kashmir Times, The Sun, Jansatta, Panchwa Stambh, India Calling, Studies in Sikhism and Comparative Religions, Children’s Book Trust Publication.

She has two published books to her credit. One My Bouquet collection of her poetry and the other edited essays and poetry. Her book on the Art of Audio Broadcasting is in press; under publication.

She is Founder & President of Parwaz-e-Shaheen Rifat Sarosh Academy, New Delhi (Registered) – A literary, educational, arts and cultural non-profit organization. She has organised, presented and compared various cultural events in Delhi and NCR in this capacity.
