My name is Shaheen Hussain Nongbri- founder president of char and rural development society (CARDS)which Run CARDS modern School, CARDS vocational training Centre ,specially for woman.CARDS has been associated with control arms foundation of India(CAFI)as a partner for the state of Assam . Working for the women in the conflict zone , helping them to sustain livelihood, We have initiated for providing education to the under privilege children at Char area. We work on education and empowerment of women survivors of violence. Our aim is to empower woman through livelihood skill training such as vocational training in weaving. We are a also well-known voice in the women rights movement ,our recent work give emphasis to awareness programme on legal aspects as protection mechanism with education the most important to bring change in the society especially for the status of woman. I was awarded for excellent woman social service award 2016 by news 30 conclave, Recently I was invited as a speaker to represent Assam in the International Conference on Deepening Diversity, Women’s Rights And Democracy, Represented by UN, European Union and delegates from other countries which was held in New Delhi IIC. I was also awarded ‘Nari Tumi Ananya’ given by Social Justice Forum and also ‘Exceptional Women of Excellency’ from Women Economic Forum and recently I received shrimoyee Award From News 18 Network NorthEast
