•I am a 11th grade science student from NPS HSR layout Bangalore. I am a sports enthusiast and the vice sports captain of our school
•I am a grade 7 Trinity keyboard student and a 2nd degree Taekwondo blackbelt
•I am an ardent social worker: volunteering and helping at various organisations since the age of seven
•I am the founder and leader of ‘RutuChakra’ – a social initiative to spread awareness about personal and menstrual hygiene in underprivileged girls/ women and provide them with sanitary napkins. I have been running this initiative for the past 15 months. Our aim is to conduct as many awareness workshops as possible and plan to provide one Million sanitary napkins in this year.
•I ran two fund-raising campaigns on crowd funding platform and raised ~Rs. 4,00,000/-
•I created a core team of 12 teenagers in Rutuchakra
•We have partnered with nine other NGOs
•We have helped 530+ underprivileged girls/women through RutuChakra till date
•Provided ~27,000 sanitary napkins
•Conducted 10+ workshops at several NGOs and Government schools, more workshops are lined up in the coming months.
•We also promote reusable and biodegradable sanitary napkins in our workshops and provide regular/reusable/biodegradable sanitary napkins based on the NGOs requirement.
