Sage Barraza is a sophomore at New Mexico State University studying Animal Science in the College of Agriculture, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences. She hopes to one day use her major and studies to help local farmers and ranchers produce healthy and wholesome food for the world. She is also a member of the Delta Gamma Fraternity at NMSU. Delta Gamma’s initiatives include fostering high ideals of friendship between members, alongside raising money for Service for Sight—a foundation that aids the visually impaired. She is very passionate about learning American Sign Language and helping to bridge the gap of accessibility between the hearing and deaf cultures in the world. Sage enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures, and she hopes to gain lifelong friendships and experiences in India.
