Ruth Madelen Luna Cruz
Ruth Madelen Luna Cruz is a peruvian architect founder of lasrutasderuth. She is traveler and advisor of architectural projects and scholarships. She has 3 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, public and private sector, and she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture from National University of Engineering in Peru. Ruth has experience to leader different kind of projects to solve problems in the city through architecture and urban development. Ruth through AIESEC’s Global Community Development Program interned at a organization in Egypt, where she implement a project to protect a obelisk in Cairo that has several bad conditions in the environment. This project was focus in SDG 11. Also as leader for the project ‘Involve a historical heritage in a deprived neighborhood’, she connected GIZ, AIESEC, the GATE AWAY Urban development, in order to develop a sustainable project. As a coordinator of Identity Department in FAUA UNI She run the project veraneARQ, that had a impact on many communities and let to the academy also participating in social problems and intervening directly in urban solutions and sustainable improvement of the communities. Also she worked to improve the communication channels and she feels humbled to see more than 15,000 people interested in the faculty activities. As a volunteer she carried out a project for the protection of the hills of Lima. She analyzed the problem and I managed to bring together academy researchers, IPAE, and civil society activist organizations that were working to protect Lima’s heritage and were working to encourage tourism in Las Lomas. She was able to present the finished project as a public policy, and was invited by the president, in the government palace. Ruth is really passionate about urban developing and sustainable cities.
