Rupasree is founder Hony. General Secretary of I. R. Foundation which closely work in collaboration with the Government of West Bengal. Through her institution she is promoting to install sanitary vending machine in many Govt institutions, pay & use toilets in Kolkata and also monitors implementation of ICDS project across Kolkata. She has engaged a few rural ladies who are motivating the girls to maintain menstrual hygiene. She has done Master Training on Child Protection under ICPS scheme. Their organisation has many centres for child welfare and education services. Besides she takes care of their family business of media house and construction. She is a passionate dancer and performed in many well known events. Her work in the realm of child protection and women empowerment is recognised by various governmental and nongovernmental board of West Bengal. Through her institution she is promoting Women Empowerment by giving training for handcrafted goods and support them for earnings. She’s is a passionate Aunty for the Street Children under the perview of her work territory.
A philanthropist by heart, Rupasree Roy is the Founder & Director of I.R. Foundation which closely works in collaboration with the Government of West Bengal. Through her organization, she worked tremendously to promote the installation of sanitary napkin vending machines in several Government’s Institutions and pay & use toilets across Kolkata. She also monitors implementation of ICDS projects across Kolkata.
Rupasree has engaged a few rural ladies to motivate girls in order to maintain menstrual hygiene by conducting several awareness camps in the rural areas in the District of Bankura, West Bengal.
She has also undergone Master Training on Child Protection under Integrated Child Protection Scheme of Government of India in the field of child rights, child care & protection and has been recognised as a Master Trainer for Child Protection.
Her organization has centres for child welfare and educational services in the Bankura district of West Bengal. She has also been working in the field of Human and Child Trafficking since 2011.
Rupasree has been working voluntarily as a Front Line Worker from the initial days of the lockdown amid pandemic, March 2020. She joined the Covid Care Network to work more extensively with a large group of doctors. Rupasree was assigned with the task of rescuing and hospitalised those abundant covid patients. During the 2nd wave of Covid, she was appointed as the Manager operations of Uttirno safe home, a project undertaken by the Government of West Bengal. She has supported end numbers of people during and post pandemic days across India through their toll free helpline. She has undergone various trainings on covid protocol management, patient care (empathy/psychological support). Rupasree was also attached to online tele consultation for mental health management during and post pandemic. During these difficult days, she has witnessed and experienced various incidents which are difficult to pen down.
Since 2014, Rupasree has been working as an External Member of Internal Complaints Committee of various Government and Non-Government
Institutions under “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act.
Her work in the realm of Child Protection and Women Empowerment has been recognized by various Governmental and non-governmental boards of West Bengal. Through her organization, she has been promoting women empowerment by providing training for handcrafted goods and support them to earn a living.
Rupasree is a passionate and loving aunty for street children. Along with her extensive work, she is also a passionate dancer and has performed in various renowned events.
