Rui Vasques

University Professor, Social Entrepreneur, Sustainable Development Designer, Musician and Artist
Rui Vasques was born in Vitória, Espirito Santo, Brasil, 1988, but he was grown up in Coimbra since childhood. He studied Design, in IADE, Lisbon, were he did also the Master Degree in Production Design, concluded with the award of “Best Course Student”, and with the classification of 20 in its thesis-project “Eco-Village Community. This work has been presented and creating a huge critical mass in Portugal and abroad, and has opened opportunities for the world of Social Entrepreneurship, Permaculture Design and Alternative Economies, areas he teach today at IADE – UNVERSIDADE EUROPEIA , Laureate International Universities, in his unity “Design for Society” integrated in the Post Graduation “Design Thinking & Prototyping”. He is a professional teacher certified by IEFP, and he moves between the arts, the permaculture and music, also instrutor of Slackline. Currently he is the founder and president of Live With Earth Association, for the Global Sustainable Development by Actions in Portugal, in partnership with the Torres Vedras Municipality, awarded with the European Green Leaf 2015, in the beautifull Serra do Socorro. In 2017 he was the main responsible for the organization of IFAC 2017 – International Festival of Art and Construction, for the first time in Portugal. In the journey, he develop projects and partnership with national organizations such as ( C.M de Cascais, Rota Jovem, A Quinta, Terras de Lyz, Biovivos, Festival Andanças, BOOM Festival, etc…) and international ( IYNF – International Young Nature Friends, Bouworde, European Youth Foundation, ONG´S, etc…).
