Riya is a recent graduate in Economics and Philosophy from University of Delhi. She is an aspiring Sociologist and Impact Professional who aims to drive tangible social impact through the means of education and gender equality.
She is currently working with Project Statecraft as Director of Education where she is leading the development and implementation of equitable educational initiatives centred around 21st century skills and policy education based on the model of experiential learning. She is also working as the Program Lead for Movers Programme (PSC), a Youth Co-Lab Initiative backed by UNDP and Citi Foundation. Through this, she aims to impact 3500+ students through localised training workshops centred around SDGs, entrepreneurship and 21st century skills and community building.
She is also working with Noble Vision (Medical Book Publishers) where she is in charge of developing the overall organisational growth and expansion strategy. She utilizes content as a means to achieve organisational goals that is to disseminate quality of child healthcare in India. Through her role at the organisation she aims to build a space where authors are heard at every step of the process and the publishing industry becomes truly accessible and inclusive to each pediatrician out there.
She was also offered the Teach for India Fellowship 2022-24 which she rejected to pursue her dream of becoming a Sociologist. She truly believes that being a Sociologist would help her to understand people and social systems better and create a truly remarkable change out there.
She has also worked in several leadership roles with organisations like Global Youth India, Edjustice Foundation and DU Connect. She is also a passionate educator who loves to be in a classroom and also a very dedicated and hardworking life long learner who is always keen to learn and evolve.
