My name is Ritika, I am a first-generation immigrant in Canada, at the age of 20 I started my non-profit called Re-defined, which hopes to empower people from marginalized communities across 4 countries such as India, Canada, Nigeria and Ghana. We have helped over 15,000 students by providing access to education, and necessary resources through workshops on topics such as sexual and menstrual education, climate and sustainability, entrepreneurship and leadership.
I also work as a consultant at Deloitte, Canada, I am a career consultant and a career creator on LinkedIn with over 23 K followers. I am also on the board of directors for two non-profits, UN’s GirlUp, Ahmedabad and Teenvisor in Karnataka furthering youth development and leadership.
I was awarded the Indian Achievers Award in 2022, I am a TEDx speaker as well and will be an ambassador representing Deloitte at the One Young World Conference (OYW) this year in Ireland. I have also been the recipient of the CMC-BC award for management consulting. Having mentored more than 300 students in the last 2 yrs, I hope to further access to education and leadership skills to students from underprivileged communities, so that students achieve the jobs and careers that they deserve.
