Rita Singh is a leading community leader, President and Founder of S R International, Inc. S R International has two divisions: Information Technology Consulting Group (www.sriiusa.com) and Entertainment and Event Management Group (www.srii.biz). Rita has held many important positions like Ex- Anchor for Delhi Doordarshan (1991 – 1993), Founder and President of S R International Inc. (January 2002, onwards), First Woman President, Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), Chicago (2013), Executive Vice President, Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), Chicago (2012),Vice President, Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), Chicago (2011),Vice President, Indian American Youth Organization (IAYO), Chicago (2009 till date),Vice President, Bihar Cultural Association of Chicago (2002-2004) and Secretary, Bihar Cultural Association of Chicago (2000-2002). Her other achievements are as follows- Icons and Change Agents of Bihar Award by Dy. Chief Minister of Bihar Mr. Sushil Modi (2009). Award for promoting Asian culture to the future youth by Illinois Secretary of State, Mr. Jesse White. 2000: she organized the first ever Miss India Midwest beauty pageant in Chicago on behalf of Bihar Cultural Association. Rita Singh was the Secretary of Bihar Cultural Association in Chicago at that time. Through this event, she raised over $10,000 for the Bihar Cultural Association. 2003 and 2004: She organized Miss Teen India USA, a national beauty pageant in Chicago under her company S R International Inc. 40 Indian American contestants from all over USA participated in this internationally televised (by SONY Entertainment Television) beauty pageant. The event was attended by over 1000 people and Meghna Naidu performed live that evening. 2005: She organized a SOLD OUT hindi play ‘The Perfect Husband’ in Chicago starring Poonam Dillon (the leading Bollywood Star)and Suraj Thapar (the polular TV star). 2005: She organized a SOLD OUT New Year’s Eve Party on 12/31/2005 in Chicago under S R International banner. The popular item girl DJ Doll (the Kanta Laga fame) performed live at that event. 2006: She organized SOLD OUT New Year’s Eve Party on 12/31/2006 in Chicago under S R International banner and Sanober Kabir from Bollywood performed live that evening. 2007: Under the banner of S R International she organized the 4th SOLD OUT New Year’s Eve Party in a row on 12/31/2007 in Chicago and this time popular Bollywood stars like Kashmera Shah and Krushna performed live that evening. 2010: She organized the 5th SOLD OUT New Year’s Eve Party in a row on 12/31/2010 in Chicago and this time, popular Bollywood star Udita Goswami graced the event.
