The entrepreneurial nature of startup culture has undoubtedly ignited a lot of passion in Renuka, currently the CTO at Increasingly. She has scaled multiple startups in digital marketing and e-commerce over the past 15 years and is passionate about driving innovation!
Renuka is a strategic technology leader, building high performing products and people. She has built multiple teams from scratch with 1 person to over 70. She In charge of turning innovative concepts into reality. She is empowering engineering teams to build solutions that emphasize quality, simplicity and reliability.
She is harnessing the power of AI to deliver data-driven product bundles based on changing customer behaviour online. Transforming the status quo when it comes to upselling and cross-selling on a brands’ website to increase the basket value. She oversees all aspects of the product creation including research, design, infrastructure, architecting and defining the AI algorithms to deliver a sustainable and scalable strategy. She is now leading and implementing the ISO 27001 accreditation process at Increasingly.
Looking after Information security and setting up the Information Security Management System’s Framework to operate and implement ISO 27001. Problem-solving and building products has always been a way of life. She was quick to pivot Increasingly’s product from a Magento extension to a system agnostic software which could be seamlessly deployed on various e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Demand Ware, SAP Commerce and Oracle Commerce to name a few.
Increasingly launched 4 years ago with just 4 founding members, now with over 50 employees across the globe. Renuka’s team strives to push the limits, and she believes in an open culture with a high sense of ownership and accountability, to empower people at all levels.
Increasingly is an industry disruptor, using AI to intelligently sell product bundles and collections on-site, in-store, and in Google Shopping and Facebook ads. The business has seen phenomenal growth over the past 4 years. Now serving over 60 clients across the globe in fashion, electronics, DIY and beauty. Including the likes of Samsung, HP, Canon, U.S. Polo, Party City, Boots Walgreen and Avon to name a few. Clients see revenue uplifts of +15% and average order value (AOV) uplifts of up to 50%.
Prior to Increasingly, she was working at AdJug, Europe’s leading display advertising exchange platform that connects buyers and sellers of digital advertising. She has built Video & CPE Ads, and automated Real time bidding (RTB), a process that allows ad spaces to be bought and sold through an auction with demographics, user profiling, geo & dynamic retargeting. She scaled the Infrastructure from 2 to 180+ servers and AdJug grew from 5 to 60 people in 5 years. Served three billion+ ad impressions per month to 67 million unique users, over 500+ advertisers, 2,000+ publishers and 4,000 sites worldwide.
Renuka has vast experience in open-source technologies and cloud platforms, having prototyped and built several e-commerce products from scratch. She has gone above and beyond to help startups grow by channelling her engineering vision to scale product development while continuing to innovate. She has trained and mentored global teams and provided technical leadership.
