Remi Kuti

Remi Kuti is the living proof that success can be achieved by anyone no matter background, race or challenges. Born in London during the sixties to strict and hardworking Nigerian parents, Remi and his older brother were raised to be hardworking, get a good education and become successful in life. Fast-forward to today, Remi is professionally and personally successful even though it wasn’t always like that. Remi wants to be able to inspire people to believe that they can become or achieve whatever they want no matter where they come from. One of the biggest lessons he learned is that you don’t always have to accept what life offers you, but rather strive to achieve what you desire. There is only one Remi Kuti, if he could do it then anyone can. Lacking a proper education and coming from a working class family he was able to achieve everything that he has today with a lot more to come. The world is his oyster.

His passion to help others is why he got involved in a boxing charity organisation and asked to join the board, Repton Boxing Club, which gives him the opportunity to work with young underprivileged children and give back. The club is now a registered charity organization and Remi is a proud mentor there, helping people see past the problems they face and know that there is always a solution and a way to become successful.
