A Journalism & Communication graduate, Rashmi Chadha has always been an avid wanderlust. Sports enthusiast, Rashmi won many accolades nationally in sports during her school and college days. She had her stint with ITC As Delhi Ncr category Manager . She did her research into foreigners traveling to India especially females by conducting few tours as freelancer. She found that foreign female travellers really want to Travel India but they feel insecure and are reluctant to travel the most incredible country of the world. She felt that if she can reduce the risk and provide them with a fully secure tour then there is a business opportunity with loads of potential waiting to be explored.
Wovoyage creates women friendly customized packages, assign them expert women guides. For example a German lady wants to shop in Delhi, it assigns her a girl who knows German and expert in shopping .Making it safe and fearless travel for foreigners and at same time empower Indian women with employment. We were mostly online in early days but we just started a Women Friendly Travel.
She also worked with many NGOs along with travelling and whilst doing that she was stuck with the idea of Wovoyage.
She felt that it’s her duty to improve our country image as India is really incredible and it will definitely change people’s life.
We have a centre in New Delhi near Connaught Place, Its first of a kind female friendly travel centre in India. We prefer hiring female staff which suits the business model and at same time empowers Indian women with employment. We can them Super Guides. Most of our clients are foreign/expat women who are looking to travel India, We promote our services with embassies,portal like yatra ,travel traingle and social media , we send regular newsletters, we write regular travel blogs, we arrange women only meetup events. We use a common platform to publish our posts on all social media channels.we have launched Travel Talk on Youtube channel which is now sharing women travel stories .
