Rashi Mittal Nair is a word-‐of-‐mouth marketing addict, that has spent the last 13 years obsessing over what really gets people talking and how brands can best leverage those insights. She’s also an avid believer of linking business success to real social impact. Having been a Specialist at Influencer Marketing for close to 5 years at Procter & Gamble, she at times led or was part of a series of International & National award winning work, (including 3 Cannes and 2 Stevies) which usually meant being part of fantastic teams! She was also the head of the Corporate Social Responsibility program, Shiksha.
Brief assignments at JWT & Grey Worldwide have helped lay an early foundation to a creative communication mindset. She has had the privilege of working on leading brands such as Britannia, Pepsi, Gillette, Ariel, Oral B, H&S, & Whisper. She was also part of the core teams to successfully launch Olay and Pampers in the country.
She was the founder of Brand Ripples, a word of mouth marketing consultancy that empowered organizations with secret sales teams (their existing consumers) to boost their ROI. Four years and 15 clients later, Brand Ripples merges into Advocacy Asia (the world’s most awarded word of mouth marketing agency).
She has now launched a new venture called WOOP (Women of Opinion) – a unique value exchange platform that helps women get rewards, brands get authentic word of mouth, and the country get additional funds for girl child education. It’s a triple-‐ win model that aims to make Marketing a force for Good. WOOP is a community of Women that are powered by technology and united by a cause. In less than 9 months WOOP has over 20+ paid clients on board, and has generated over 90,000 school days for girls in need via its partner Nanhikali.
