Under ‘Rooh: Awakening Women’s Soul’, a program focusing on women empowerment has uplifted more than 500 women in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & Jharkhand. Organized and carried out initiatives like tailoring school and handicraft manufacturing to empower women in rural & urban areas, thus helping them earn a livelihood. Through Lakshyam’s program, ‘Lakshyam Toy Library’, (library where children get access to books and toys) the lives of over 14,995 people (and counting) across India have positively developed. Lakshyam has around 17 libraries across 15 states.
Lakshyam’s primary education program, ‘Butterfly’ focuses majorly on street children. Via Butterfly we try to bring beggars, rag pickers out of these professions and mainstream them to the regular education system in a time frame of 3 years where the child is kept under Lakshyam remedial center. Aarogya, first social entrepreneurship project envisions bringing affordable healthcare to the
doors of those who are in dire need of it. We want to improve health and reduce illness through patient‐centered quality healthcare that is accessible and seamless, comprehensive, appropriate and cost‐effective; in an environment of continuous learning and relevant research. To make this possible we have opened generic medicine stores in the areas where the basic health set up was lacking.
