Raj Arneja is the Director of Corporate Engagement & Philanthropy at Nanak Foods. Born into an immigrant family and raised in New Westminster, BC, Raj has witnessed the changes in our communities as far as diversity, understanding and acceptance. Raj’s childhood memories are full of colorful stories of supporting family and friends as they settled into their new country and adjusted to the new customs and traditions.
Raj enjoys supporting and fundraising for various charitable, non-profit community organizations. She volunteers her time with local homeless shelters, has been an advocate for anti-bullying campaigns, supports two girls’ orphanages in Punjab and has travelled to Kenya to volunteer in small village schools with her 2 children. Raj strongly feels that humanity has no borders, and we should reach out and help wherever we are able to, regardless of race, gender or nationality.
Raj works hard at building relationships within the community through her work at Nanak Foods. She also directs the company’s philanthropy including strategy, programming and partnership development, and day-to- day operation of all corporate contributions. Raj also sits on Boards where she can apply her skills and experiences.
Raj started her career as a Treasury Administrator in Precious Metals and Foreign Exchange Trading. Later she moved to follow her passion in travel and became a Travel Executive at Thomas Cook and soon after a Tour Manager at Indus Travels.
